Yuxia Duan received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Université Laval, Québec City, QC, Canada, in 2014. She is an Associate Professor in School of Physics, Central South University, Changsha, China. Her research include infrared vision and its applications, signal and image processing, and AI-powered automated detection and analysis. She has published over 40 SCI papers, and has been the principal investigator of 1 National Natural Science Foundation project and 2 industry-sponsored projects. Participated in several major research initiatives, including the National Natural Science Foundation's Major Research Plan, Major Scientific Instrument Development Project, and the Ministry of Science and Technology's Key Research and Development Program. She contributed to the fourth edition of the ASNT Nondestructive Testing Handbook, specifically the section on "Composite Applications of Thermal and Infrared Testing".
