In 1993, he conducted developmental molecular embryology studies at the University of Kansas Medical Center in the United States and received his PhD in genetics in 1996. He has been engaged in reproductive medicine research since 1981, presided over one national key R & D plan, completed four national natural science funds, and completed eight provincial and ministerial and horizontal projects. He published 98 papers in domestic and foreign journals such as frontiers in cell and developmental biology, Fertil Steril, Aging, Asian Journal of Andrology, and Andrologia, including 38 SCI papers published as corresponding authors, 14 monographs and textbooks edited and participated, and 13 patents on inventions and utility models.
He has won: the second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award in 2009; the first prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award of Ministry of Education; the first prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award of Hunan Province.
