He has been engaged in the composition design, melting and casting, powder metallurgy, additive manufacturing, deformation heat treatment, casting structure characterization and performance evaluation of powder metallurgy copper matrix composites for a long time, and has developed a variety of new non-ferrous metal materials by combining databases, cloud networks, data mining, machine learning and other methods. More than 20 research projects such as the U.S. Department of Energy's basic research project and the University of Michigan-Ford Motor Company alliance project. It has undertaken research and development projects of many large enterprises such as Huawei, CGN, PetroChina, Sinopec, China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry, State Grid, Ningbo Bowei, and Industrial Shengtai.

He was hired as a science and technology commissioner of Guangdong Province, a science and technology commissioner of Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, and a science and technology commissioner of Changsha City.He has been in Acta Materialia, Material Research Letters, Materials & Design, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Materials Science and Engineering A, and Materials Characterization and other international journals have published more than 100 papers as the first author or corresponding author, and the first inventor has obtained 12 authorized national invention patents. At present, it maintains close cooperation with the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, Texas A&M University, Nebraska-Lincoln, RWTH Aachen University in Germany, and the University of Munich. 

Project cooperation intention: alloy composition design (database, data mining, machine learning), preparation process optimization (melt casting, powder preparation, deformation heat treatment, powder metallurgy, additive manufacturing), comprehensive performance improvement (strength, conductivity, thermal conductivity, stress relaxation, creep, durability, high-temperature softening, damping performance, electromagnetic shielding, friction wear, corrosion, high-temperature oxidation, passivation) and other work.
