Personal Information

Dr. Li received his B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Shandong University in 2003 and his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from Shandong University in 2008. Dr. Li did his postdoctoral training in drug design and discovery at the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, Virginia Commonwealth University between 2008-2010. Dr. Li joined the faculty at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Central South University as a Associate Professor in 2010. Current research projects focus on the development of innovative drugs of fibrosis-related disease, cancer, cardiovascular diseases and metabolic diseases. Key areas of concentration within the group comprise chemical biology-based target identification and validation, virtual screening, structure-based drug design or optimization, CADD & AIDD, organic synthesis, molecular level mechanism of action and druggability study on potential candidates.
