Ms. Liu Chi, PhD., associate professor, master tutor, is mainly focused on the lung stress and respiratory physiology from Department of Physiology, School of Basic Medical Science, Central South University (CSU). Now Dr. Liu is hosting several projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the CAST Young Talent Development Program, Hunan Provincial Natural Science Foundation, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and the Central Subsidy to Support Young Teachers in Universities of China. She has published more than 20 articles in important journals. She has won the a series of prizes for her outstanding research work, including "Zhang Xijun Youth Outstanding Paper" Award issued by Chinese Association For Physiological Sciences (CAPS), the first prize of "Outstanding Doctoral Thesis" issued by Central South University, the first prize of "Youth Outstanding Paper" issued by Hunan Association For Physiological Sciences, and the first prize of "Youth Outstanding Paper" issued by China Physiology and Pharmacology Forum, among others. In 2011, she was selected by the Sino-German Center for Research Promotion (SGC), as one of the 25 NSFC-funded young scientists, to participate in the 61st Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Lindau, Germany. In 2013, she, as one of the 20 CAPS-funded outstanding young scientists, participated in the 37th World Congress of the International Union of Physiological Sciences (IUPS 2013) in Birmingham, UK. In 2015, she became one of the 45 bio-scientists listed in the CAST Young Talent Development Program.
