Profile

Qiwu Luo (M’17) received the B.S. degree in communication engineering from the National University of Defense Technology, Changsha, China, in 2008, and the M.Sc. degree in electronic science and technology and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Hunan University, Changsha, in 2011 and 2016, respectively.
He was a Senior Engineer of instrumentation with WASION Group Ltd. Company, Changsha, China, and the Deputy Technical Director with Hunan RAMON Technology Co., Ltd., Changsha. In 2016, he joined the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China, where he also completed his postdoctoral research on automatic optic inspection (AOI). Since 2019, he has been an Associate Professor with the School of Automation, Central South University, Changsha, China. His current research interests include computer vision, industrial AOI, machine learning, parallel hardware architecture design and reconfigurable computing.
