Personal Information

Jian Ma, Ph.D., Professor of pathology and pathophysiology, mentor for Ph.D. students. Currently, He is the vice director of Cancer Research Institute of Central South University, vice director of Hunan Key Laboratory of Nonresolving Inflammation and Cancer, vice president of Hunan Society for Immunology. He received his medicine bachelor degree from Hunan Medical University, and his Ph.D. degree from Central South University. He was enrolled in the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of the Chinese Ministry of Education. He has been awarded with multiple grants from Natural Science Foundation of China, Hunan Province Science and Technology Project, Hunan Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, etc.

 

His research team is interested in:

  (1) Epstein-Barr virus infection and tumorigenesis and tumor immunology.

  (2) Nonresolving inflammation and cancer, especially the inflammatory bowl disease, mouse model, prevention, therapy.

  (3) Key molecules involved in tumorigenesis and tumor immunology, such as Lactoferrin, YAP1, and EphA2.
