Zhilai Lu, distinguished associate professor of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Central South University, master tutor, graduated from Tianjin University with a PhD degree in engineering in 2021. He has been engaged in the research of precision machine design based on flexible mechanism, tip-based micro and nano machining and manufacturing, and bionic sensor processing and testing for a long time. He has published more than 10 papers in International authoritative journals such as IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics and International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, and has authorized 7 national invention patents. He has established long-term cooperative relations with internationally renowned experts like Prof. Yanling Tian, University of Warwick (QS 2022 Rank 61) and Prof. Bijan Shirinzadeh of Monash University in Australia.

Research Projects in Progress:

National Natural Science Foundation of China, Research on the mechanism and method of nano-processing with narrow-frequency acoustic surface wave-assisted probe, 2023.01 ~ 2025.12.

The research direction of the research group includes:

1) Precision mechanical design;

2) Micro and nano processing and manufacturing;

3) Bionic sensor processing and testing.
