Kun Miao, Professor, Doctoral Advisor. He is mainly engaged in teaching, research and consulting of road and railway engineering.
He has published more than 20 high-level research papers as the first author and has been awarded several national patents as the first inventor and edited and published "Railway Alignment Design". As the research project leader, he presided over the research projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China and Hunan Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and won Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, Science and Technology Progress Award of China Railway Society, and the National Excellent Engineering Design Computer Software Award.
His main research direction is the application of information and computer technology in road and railway engineering. He is mainly involved in: railway BIM technology and engineering information management, railway foreign object intrusion monitoring and identification, automatic visual identification of steel tying, simulation of optimal mechanical configuration of earthwork, 3D intelligent alignment of railways and highways, GIS, intelligent calculation methods, computer-aided design, road and rail traffic planning and design methods, etc.
He is willing to recruit students with experience in computer programming to pursue their degrees.
