Shi Chenghua, born in 1973, from Anhui Province, a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Central South University in Changsha City.
Obtain Master degree from the Central South Universityon Tunnel and Underground Engineering Major in 2000 . Obtain Ph.D from the Central South University on Tunnel and Underground Engineering Major in 2007 . Studying in Monash University in Australia as a Visiting Scholar in 2014.Research emphasizes on the durability and whole life design for tunnel and underground engineering.
Since 2000，been in charge of several academic projects supported by National Nature Science Fund committee, Technology Committee of the Ministry of Railway and some other corporation foundation and etc., involving improvement the safety of tunnel and underground engineering and adjacent structure under construction, prevention deterioration of tunnel bottom structure under the long-term dynamic train load and sulfate and other corrosion medium attack.
Published two books and over 100 technical papers, also hold 12 Chinese patents. Working as a site engineer on 3 tunnel construction sites and have designed and consulted over 40 tunnel projects in China.
