Currently serving as Director of the Department of Fine Arts, School of Architecture and Art at Central South University, he is a professor and master's thesis supervisor. He is a member of the Watercolor Art Committee of the China Artists Association, Chair of the Watercolor Art Committee of the Hunan Provincial Artists Association, and Vice President of the Hunan Watercolor Society. A recipient of the 2025 National Arts Fund, he has participated in numerous national and provincial-level art creation projects. In 2016, he joined the "Deep into Life, Rooted in the People" thematic creative practice program organized by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Artists Association, featuring 20 mid-to-young artists. His works have been exhibited in the 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th National Art Exhibitions, winning the Beijing Entry Award at the 13th exhibition and the Gold Award at the Hunan Provincial Exhibition. His artworks have also been selected for the 7th, 9th, and 10th National Watercolor and Gouache Exhibitions; the 4th and 6th National Youth Art Exhibitions; the 2nd and 3rd National Youth Watercolor Exhibitions; the 12th China Art Festival Outstanding Works Exhibition; the 3rd National Gouache Exhibition; the 2nd Small-Scale Watercolor Exhibition; and the 2nd Shenzhen and Shanghai International Watercolor Exhibitions, where he received awards for excellence. He was honored as one of the "China Watercolor Art Committee Figures of the Year 2017." He has published numerous papers and artworks in journals such as "Literary and Art Research" and "Fine Arts," and authored books including "Color • Realm" and "Watercolor Creation and Teaching." The art exhibition "New Era: Poetic Dwelling" was selected as a supported project under the Hunan Province Cultural Talent "Three Hundred Project" in 2021.
