Peipei Wang, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, recipient of the National High-level Young Talent Program. She obtained her PhD from Imperial College London under the supervision of Prof. Jan Cilliers (Fellow of Royal Academy of Engineering) and Prof. Pablo Brito-Parada (Editor-in Chief in Minerals Engineering). She is a qualified Professional Engineer of Australia. She has long been engaged in fundamental theoretical research and industrial application studies in the field of mineral processing. She established a research system on the rising behavior of particle-laden bubbles, which provides solid theoretical support for slurry system modeling, froth interface analysis and process optimization in flotation, and can also be applied to chemical reaction processes involving particles and bubbles.Her research has been supported by the Imperial College President’s PhD Scholarship (top 50 out of 1200 candidates), IOM3 Bosworth Smith Research Fund in the UK. She presided over the Stanley Elmore Research Fellowship and led the industrial cooperation project on sulfide ore reagent evaluation sponsored by BASF SE, Germany.

She once conducted joint research with Prof. Kevin Galvin (Fellow of Australian Academy of Science) at the ARC Centre of Excellence, whose members cover nine major Australian universities, CSIRO, industrial enterprises and overseas research institutions. She leads the development of cutting-edge technologies including flotation, flocculation, oil agglomeration and physical separation, and promotes interdisciplinary and industrial cooperation. She developed novel reflux flotation cells and promoted the industrial application of water-in-oil agglomeration technology in Northparkes Copper Mine and IGO Nickel Mine. She also carried out collaborative researches on high-efficiency rare earth enrichment and silver recovery from solar panels with the University of South Australia and Monash University. She has been awarded the University of Newcastle Equipment Grant and Australia-Germany Joint Research Grant (only 47 recipients nationwide in Australia), collaborating with TU Dresden and Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf in Germany.
