魏晓军，现任中南大学教授, 博士生导师，国家海外高层次人才(青年项目)，中南大学桥梁工程系副主任，轨道交通工程结构防灾减灾湖南省重点实验室副主任，中南大学风工程研究中心骨干成员。曾任英国华威大学研究员。2015年获英国利物浦大学博士学位，2008年和2011年分别获得中南大学学士和硕士学位。主要从事桥梁智能运维与振动控制研究。主持各类科研项目30余项，其中国家重点研发计划课题1项、国家自然科学基金3项、英国全球挑战研究基金1项(中方主持）。发表高水平学术论文50余篇，授权专利16项、软著4项，共同主编或参编标准6部，参编专著2部。担任国内外4个期刊的编委、4个国内科研组织的委员，荣获4个国际期刊论文最佳审稿人，做国内外大会报告和邀请报告5次。获中国铁道学会科学技术一等奖1项、湖南省青年科技奖及詹天佑铁道科学技术青年奖等科研奖励。

主持湖南省本科教学改革项目1项，中南大学研究生教学改革重点项目1项、中南大学创客空间项目1项；荣获第十五届全国大学生创新创业年会优秀指导老师、湖南省优秀硕士论文指导老师、中南大学新基业优秀班导师奖，指导学生获全国铁路青年科技创新奖等国际/国家级奖励或项目12项。

研究生招收：每年招聘1-2名博士后，1-2名博士研究生，3名硕士研究生，欢迎对本人研究感兴趣的学生申报，拥有独立实验室，研究经费充足。

Profile

Xiaojun Wei is a Professor of Bridge Engineering at the School of Civil Engineering, Central South University, China, after holding a position of Associate Professor of Bridge Engineering from Feb 2019 to Dec 2020 at the same university. Before moving to Central South University, he was a Research Fellow with the Humans and Structures Laboratory at the University of Warwick. He obtained his PhD from the Dynamics and Control Group at the University of Liverpool in 2015, his MEng and BEng in Civil Engineering from Central South University, China, in 2011 and 2008.

His current research interests are in the area of smart maintenance and vibration control. Some specific research topics include suppression of wind/human-induced vibration using linear/nonlinear control schemes and contactless structural health monitoring of real-life structures using laser scanners and/or cameras. He has published over 50 high-quality academic papers, holds 16 authorized patents and 4 software copyrights, and has co-edited or contributed to 6 technical standards and 2 academic monographs. He serves as an editorial board member of four domestic and international journals and as a committee member of four national academic organizations. He has received four “Outstanding Reviewer” awards from international journals and has delivered 5 keynote or invited presentations at major conferences. He has been awarded the First Prize of Science and Technology by the China Railway Society, the Hunan Provincial Young Scientist Award, and the Zhan Tianyou Railway Science and Technology Youth Award, among others. He has active collaborations with a number of prestigious universities, such as University of Liverpool (UK), University of Warwick (UK), University of Auckland (NZ) and Lakehead University (CA) .

In education, he has led one provincial undergraduate teaching reform project, one key postgraduate teaching reform project at Central South University, and one maker-space innovation project. He has been recognized as an Outstanding Advisor at the 15th National College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Annual Conference, an Excellent Master’s Thesis Supervisor in Hunan Province, and an Outstanding Class Advisor at Central South University. Under his supervision, students have won 12 international and national-level awards or projects, including the National Railway Youth Science and Technology Innovation Award.
