魏晓军，现任中南大学特聘教授, 博士生导师，国家海外人才青年项目获得者，轨道交通工程结构防灾减灾湖南省重点实验室副主任，中南大学风工程研究中心骨干成员。曾任英国华威大学研究员、英国华威大学和英国利物浦大学荣誉研究员。2015年获英国利物浦大学博士学位, 师从著名结构动力学专家John Mottershead教授，2008年和2011年分别获得中南大学学士和硕士学位。目前主要从事工程结构智能运维与振动控制研究：如基于InSAR技术的结构变形监测、大跨度桥梁风致振动控制、人行桥振动分析与控制等。现主持各类科研项目10余项，其中国家自然科学基金项目2项、英国全球挑战研究基金项目1项。曾主研英国工程和自然科学研究委员会基金项目2项。已发表高水平学术论文40余篇。被邀请在英国斯旺西大学等国外10余所知名大学做学术报告。担任《Transportation Safety and Environment》期刊编委。荣获《Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing》等4个国际期刊最佳论文审稿人以及英国利物浦大学博士研究生研究旅行奖。
Xiaojun Wei is a Professor of Bridge Engineering at the School of Civil Engineering, Central South University, China, after holding a position of Associate Professor of Bridge Engineering from Feb 2019 to Dec 2020 at the same university. Before moving to Central South University, he was a Research Fellow with the Humans and Structures Laboratory at the University of Warwick. He obtained his PhD from the Dynamics and Control Group at the University of Liverpool in 2015, his MEng in Bridge Engineering and BEng Civil Engineering from Central South University, China, in 2011 and 2008.
His current research interests are in the area of structural construction, maintenance and vibration control, e.g. 1) design, analysis, and application of nonlinear energy sink; 2) suppression of wind-induced vibrations in long-span bridges; 3) analysis and Control of human-induced vibrations in slender and flexible footbridges; 4) smart construction and maintenance of bridges using artificial intelligence techniques.
He is an author of around 40 peer-reviewed papers, and a Co-Investigator for a UK QR Global Challenging Research Fund, a National Science Fund of China, and an Innovation-Driven Fund of Central South University.
He is an invited reviewer for more than 20 international journals. He received Outstanding Reviewer Award from four Journals. He has active collaborations with a number of prestigious universities, such as University of Liverpool (UK), University of Warwick (UK), University of Exeter (UK), University of Swansea (UK), Liverpool John Moores University (UK), Politecnico di Torino (Italy) as well as University Iuav of Venice (Italy).
