Prof. Xiao's research efforts have focused on Orthopaedic Biomechanics Materials, Osteosarcoma Pathogenesis and study on continuous medical services of positive psychological rehabilitation.
He is in charge of many research projects including National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program), projects of National Natural Science Foundation, National Key Clinical Program of Orthopedics on Osteosarcoma’s database establishment, molecular subtype and more than 10 military and provincial projects.
Prof. Xiao has won the Third Prize award for Progress in Science and Technology of Hunan Province (2011)and the Second Prize award for Medical Technology of Hunan Province (2006).
He has published more than 60 papers, including 35 SCI papers. He has cultivated more than 50 Doctoral and Master's degree graduates.
