MORE+Dr. Chun Yang is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Resources and Safety Engineering, Central South University. He is also a postdoctoral researcher at China University of Mining and Technology, where he collaborates with Academician He Manchao.
Dr. Yang received his B.Eng., M.Eng., and Ph.D. degrees in Mining Engineering from Central South University. From September 2019 to August 2021, he conducted research on microwave-assisted mechanical rock breaking as a visiting Phd student in the research group of Professor Ferri Hassani at McGill University, Canada.
Research Interests
Microwave-induced thermal effects in rocks: mechanisms and engineering applications
Intelligent ore sorting technologies for metallic minerals
Numerical modeling and simulation in geotechnical engineering
Safe and efficient mining technologies for metal mines
Academic Achievements
Dr. Yang has published over 50 peer-reviewed academic papers and authored one monograph as the first author. He holds 20 patents (filed and granted) and has received five scientific and technological achievement awards.
He has led several competitive research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Program, the Natural Science Foundation of Hunan Province, and nearly 20 university–industry collaborative research projects.
