MORE+Dr. Chun Yang is a specially appointed Associate Professor at Central South University and a Master's supervisor. He also serves as a postdoctoral researcher at China University of Mining and Technology, collaborating with Academician He Manchao.
Dr. Chun Yang obtained his Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. degrees in Mining Engineering from Central South University. From September 2019 to August 2021, he conducted research on microwave-assisted mechanical rock breaking as part of Professor Ferri Hassani’s team at McGill University, Canada.
His research interests include the theory and technology of microwave-induced thermal effects in rock, intelligent ore sorting for metallic minerals, numerical modeling in geotechnical engineering, and safe and efficient mining techniques for metal mines. He has published over 30 academic papers, filed and been granted 15 patents, and authored one monograph as the first author. Additionally, he has received two scientific and technological awards and has led several research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Youth Program, the Natural Science Foundation of Hunan Province, and nearly 20 university-industry collaborative projects.
