Doctor Yan received the doctoral education in Central South University and obtained the doctor's degree in Pharmacology in 2010. From 2013 to 2014, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in University of Illinois at Chicago. From 2010, he began to serve as the pharmacist in the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. He was promoted to associate professor in 2017, and to Deputy Director of Scientific Research Department of the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University in 2019 and director in 2020. 2023 he was promoted as the vice president of the second xiangya hospital of central south university. He is one of the IATDMCT Councilors and founded the IATDMCT-CHINATDM Young Scientist Joint Symposium since 2019. He is also the Chair of Young Scientist Committee, Division of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, Chinese Pharmacological Society (CHINA-TDM), the Director of International Research Center for Precision Medicine, Transformative Technology and Software Services,Hunan,China. Director of Toxicology Counseling Center of Hunan Province (TCCH). Doctor Yan, as a clinical pharmacist and clinical researcher, he focuses on Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology (TDM & CT). He has strong interest in optimizing pharmacotherapy with TDM, and exploring ways to enhance efficacy and reduce toxicity of antibiotic therapy and anti-tumor therapy. Based on nuclear factor erythroid 2- related factor 2 (Nrf2) pathway, he has been exploring the mechanisms of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors (TKIs) induced hepatotoxicity. Another line of his research is personalized drug therapy.
