Zhuwen Yi ,Male,Professor of Pediatrics, the second Xiangya Hospital, Central South University, First Level Chief Physician, Supervisor of Doctoral Students, Prestigious Physicians of Xiangya Hospital.
★Dr　Yi, graduated from Hunan Medical College (The Xiangya Medical College ,Central South University, Changsha ) once trained and studied in Virginia Commonwealth University in the United States, majoring in Pediatric Nephrology.
★Since 1987, Dr Yi has established the Division of Pediatric Nephrology and the Research Laboratory of Pediatric Nephrology, Central South University. And he has helped to create the Clinical Center of Pediatric Kidney Disease in Hunan, as well as the pediatric Institute of Central South University.
★Professor Yi served successively as the first director of the the pediatric Institute of Central South University. He joined the Teaching and Research Section of Pediatrics in the Second Clinical College of Central South University as the Director. Professor Yi acted as the Chief of pediatrics in the second Xiangya Hospital and the Research Director of Pediatric Nephrology. Also he held the post of the Clinical center director of Pediatric nephrology in Hunan.
★As the Director of the Teaching and Research Section of Pediatrics from October.1996 to April. 2006, he led and guided his general staff into the ranks of “fifteen” key disciplinary areas of Hunan Province successfully. Also, to his credit, the Curriculum of Pediatrics in Central South University was evaluated as the first National Child Science Curriculum in China in 2004 when he acted as the head in the construction of pediatric departmentProfessor Yi. presided over three tasks of the National Natural Science Fund Project and thirteen tasks of provincial and ministerial level projects. In the domestic and foreign medical journals,Professor Yi has published more than 300 papers, among them, thirteen articles was included by SCI and EI. Dr.Yi won the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award and the Progress Award of Provincial Science and Technology. Moreover, he received the Progress Award of Hunan Provincial Medical and Health Science and Technology for twenty times. Apart from it, he attained the Second Prize for his Audio-visual materials awarded by the Ministry of health and the Chinese Medical Association. He has compiled about sixteen textbooks and monographs as the chief editor, for example ‘Pediatrics’, ‘Chart Children Science’, ‘Clinical Kidney Disease in Children’, ‘Practical Pediatric Tuberculosis’, ‘Pediatric Clinical Thinking’, ‘Difficulties in Pediatrics’ and so on. In addition, he participated in the editing of 30 other works. In 2005, the Teaching Materials of the Sixth Edition of Pediatrics that was edited by Dr.Yi mainly won First Prize of the Excellent Textbook in the National Medicine. .
★As a mentor, he has already recruited 27 master students, guided　36 doctoral students along with a post-doctoral student.
★Professor Yi was awarded the Government Special Allowance Expert and won the First prize of the First Teachers' Teaching Competition of Hunan Medical University. Professor Yi was also known as one of the Ten Best Teachers in Hunan Medical University and earned the National Outstanding Teachers title. As a popular and excellent supervisor of postgraduates in Central South University, he rated as the Advanced Individual of Teacher's Ethics. Besides, he was one of the First Top Teachers of Common Higher Education in Hunan Province. Professor Yi won the First Chinese Pediatrician Award of Pediatric Branch of Chinese Medical Association as well as the Ninth Chinese Physician Award of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association.
★Professor Yi has been acting as a council member of the International Society of Pediatric Kidney Diseases and of China Transitional Medicine Association. He also has served as the Honorary Chairman of Pediatrics of Hunan Province. At the same time, he holds of post of the honorary chairman of the Integrated Chinese and Western Specialized Committee of Medicine Kidney Disease in Hunan Province. Professor Yi has worked as the editor-in-chief, the deputy editor or a member of academic committee respectively for 20 magazines approximately, like ‘Chinese Journal of Pediatrics’, ‘Chinese Journal of Practical Pediatrics’, ‘ Journal of Clinical Pediatrics’, ‘Pediatrics and international child health (SCI, the UK)’ etc.
