Profile

Dr. Jun Yue is an Associate Professor at the School of Automation, Central South University. He completed his undergraduate studies at Wuhan University and earned his Ph.D. from Peking University, where he was awarded several honors, including the Wuhan University Excellent Graduate Award and the Peking University President’s Scholarship. Dr. Yue has been engaged in research in machine learning, computer vision, and optoelectronic intelligent sensing for many years. He has published over 40 papers in prestigious journals and conferences. His work has been cited more than 4,300 times on Google Scholar, with nine papers being highly cited according to ESI. He has an H-index of 28.

Dr. Yue serves as an Associate Editor for Pattern Recognition and Neurocomputing. He has received several accolades, including the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Natural Science Award (First Prize) and the CVPR Outstanding Reviewer Award. He has led various national and provincial research projects, including key projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, general projects, and youth science foundation projects. His research has been widely applied in fields such as AI cloud computing, intelligent terminals, smart monitoring of natural resources, and visual monitoring in mining industries. He has been recognized as a high-level talent in scientific innovation by the Ministry of Natural Resources and has been selected for the Hunan Province Excellent Young Talent Program.
