Weiru Zhang, a member of the communist party, is also Ph.D suprtvisor and chief physician.
She has been devoted into clinical researches related to kidney and rheumatic diseases, and also absorbed new knowledge and applied them to clinical researches.
On clinical aspect, she focus on the development and progress in this field and carry out new medical technology actively. In her 22 years spent on clinical first-line, she has mastered disposition of medicine common diseases frequently occurring disease. She has also participated in researches related to difficult diseases. She can handle well some difficult cases, such as multiple system damage, fever for unknown reason, connective issue disease such as TTP, and severe infection.She was authorized "Xiangya hospital's annual excellent doctors in 2014".
On scientific research aspect, she works diligently for perfection in her field. She participated in 3 national topics of the Natural Science Foundation of China and 7 provincial topics. Over 20 articles are published. She ranked as the first author or corresponding author in 11 of them(3 SCI). The highest IF of them is 11.86 and total IF is 20.05. She also published 13 SCI articles with the highest IF 47.0s. She won the 3rd prize of medical science and technology of Hunan province in 2014, the 1st prize in scientific papers in hunan province in 2014 (paper title:Elevated CD73-mediated increased renal adenosine signaling via A2B adenosine receptor contributes to chronic hypertension), and “Kidney Council’s New Investigator Award”in United States annual meeting of the hypertension in 2012.
On teaching aspect, She finished the whole course the of 1st international clinical class in English of Central south university, Diagnostics and Internal medicine course of undergraduates. Because of the positive feed back, she rewarded Xiangya hospital's annual excellent teachers in 2015.
