My research interests focus on the electrochemical energy storage and conversion technology, with main focus on high energy cathode materials for Li-ion battery, high energy silicon anode, cathode design for Li-S battery, new materials for Na-ion batteries. I have published over 50 papers including Nano Energy, Energy Storage Materials, ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Chem Comm, Journal of Power Sources, Journal of The Electrochemical Society, etc. My work has been widely cited (Google Scholar Search, Total citations: >1200 times, H-index 20). I also filed over dozen patents and patent applications, with some of these breakthroughs having great potential to be translated into commercialization towards consumer electronics market and electrical transportation.
