Joined Central South University in 2005 and has been engaged in teaching and research in the School of Civil Engineering. He has studied and worked at Wuhan University of Technology, Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, Southeast University, and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. His recent research focuses on cement chemistry, alkali-aggregate reaction, and solid waste utilization. He has published more than 100 academic papers in journals such as Cement and Concrete Research, Cement and Concrete Composites, Resources, Conservation and Recycling, and the Journal of the Chinese Ceramic Society. He serves as a reviewer for international journals including CCC and CCR, as well as domestic journals such as the Journal of the Chinese Ceramic Society and the Journal of Southeast University. He has presided over and participated in more than 10 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, major basic research programs of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and projects from the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Communications, and other departments. He has received one first prize, one second prize, and one third prize for provincial scientific and technological progress, as well as two second prizes from the China Building Materials Federation. He teaches courses such as Civil Engineering Materials, Building Functional Materials, and Advanced Cementitious Materials. He was lsited in the "Career-long Impact" (2025) and the "Single-year Impact" (2025, 2023, 2022, 2021) of the world's top 2% scientists jointly released by Stanford University and Elsevier.

Description of Research Group:The research activities of Cement-Study-Unity are focused on hydration kinetics , phase assemblage and micro-structure of cement-based materials, which are the fundamentals of concrete science and technology. We try to use our findings to improve properties and environmental efficiency of cement based materials.
