Personal InformationZhou Zhong, born in 1978, Ph.D., associate professor of Central South University, national registered geotechnical engineer. He is a member of the international society of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering, and the director of the Underground Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering. He studied under Academician Liu Baozhen, mainly engaged in the study of mechanical properties of soil-rock mixture engineering and slope stability analysis, impact prediction and control technology for tunnel and underground engineering proximity construction since his Ph.D. in 2006. In recent years, he has presided over more than 20 research projects at the national and provincial levels, published more than 50 academic papers, of which more than 20 have been included in SCI/EI, and obtained 18 national patents. He serves as a peer reviewer for multiple domestic and international journal including Geomechanics and Engineering, Journal of Central South University, Journal of Railway Science and Engineering, et al. He won the title of “Top Ten Courseware” by Central South University in 2009, and the first prize of Teaching Achievements of Central South University in 2015. He is a lecturer at the national quality course and resource sharing course "Tunnel Engineering". His graduate students have won many national scholarships and the title of provincial outstanding graduation thesis.
