  • Profile

    Liangjie Fu, was born in Shaoxing, China, in 1982. He received his Ph.D. degree in Materials from Central South University in 2014. After postdoctoral work at Central South University and University of California, Davis (co-supervisor Prof. Alexandra Navrotsky), he joined the faculty in the Inorganic Materials Department at Central South University. His research interests focus on functional design of mineral materials and their applications in the fields of minerals, environment, catalysis, composite materials, and so on. He has published more than 50 papers with citations more than 1500. He received a number of national and provincial level projects, and was awarded the first prize (ranked the third) from The Building Materials Federation/The Chinese Ceramic Society.

    1. Mineral materials: clay minerals, oxides, carbon materials, sulfide, fluoride
    2. Functional design of mineral material microstructure: interface structure design and computational simulation of mineral and functional particles; Organic and inorganic modification of minerals; Mineral crystal structure regulation, pore structure regulation
    3. Database of minerals and mineral materials: atomic structure, energy, multicomponent and phase diagrams
    4. Mineral processing and high value utilization of mineral resources: mineral purification and impurity removal, mineral exfoliation, high value utilization, comprehensive utilization of solid waste
    5. Environmental materials: heavy metal soil remediation, wastewater treatment and industry cooperation
    6. Composite materials: heat dissipation coating, corrosion resistant coating, high temperature resistant flame retardant silicone rubber and industry cooperation
