Abstract:Case study is an important kind of commonly used research methods. The discussion on the representative of case study can be divided into three main arguments: irrelevance, classification, transcendence。It is pointed out that the representative of case study can get the significance only based on the generalization when representative has two senses: sample representativeness and generalization representativeness.
