Personal Information

Dr. Hongtao Liu obtained his BSc (1997) and MSc (2000) degrees in Physical Chemistry from Xinjiang University, and PhD (2006) in Electroanalytical Chemistry from the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. After completion of postdoctoral research work at New Mexico State University (USA), he joined in the Central South University (China) in 2008. He is currently a full professor at the College of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, and a deputy director at the Institute of Chemical Power Sources & Materials of the Central South University. His research interests mainly focus on designing and developing key materials for advanced electrochemical energy conversion and storage.  He has published over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and has been authorized more than 20 patents of invention.


Postdoctoral and research staff positions are available in electrochemical energy storage and nanoelectrocatalysis, those who are good at structural modeling and theoretical calculation for mechanisms reveal  are preferentially considered.
