  • Abstract:In order to explore the impact of updating architectural design codes on obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) of architectural designers, this study proposed corresponding treatment suggestions for OCD of architectural designers from four aspects: basic concept, epidemiology, etiology and treatment. The study included 52 architectural designers with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and randomly divided them into group A and Group B with 26 participants each. In the two groups, group A continued to carry out the design work after the updating of the architectural design code. Group B received cognitive behavioral therapy at the same time. Before the trial began, patients were surveyed with a questionnaire to understand their frequency of onset. The Yale-Brown compulsion Scale (Y-BOCS) was used to evaluate the obsessive-compulsive symptoms. The same survey was conducted one month after the trial began. The results showed that the updating of architectural design codes had a reverse promoting effect on the obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms of architectural designers. If cognitive therapy is carried out in time during the updating of architectural design codes, the symptoms of OCD patients can be further alleviated.
