Dong-Ran Song received the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Information Science and Engineering, Central South University, Changsha, China, in 2006, 2009 and 2016, respectively. He was with China Ming Yang Wind Power, Zhongshan, from 2009 to 2013(Full time), 2014-2017(Part time). His research interests include advanced control methods for wind turbines, wind farms, power electronics and renewable energy system.
Dong-Ran Song has engaged in research work on wind/photovoltaic power generation and other renewable energy power generation technologies, microgrid system modeling, optimization and control, and energy system technology and economic evaluation and optimization, hosted the National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and projects for the enterprise, and took part in 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Dong-Ran Song has applied for 18 national invention patents and authorized 12 invention patents; as the first/corresponding author published more than 30 papers in the Prestigious SCI journals, such as: Applied Energy, Energy Conversion and Management, IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, Control Theory and Applications, etc., , among which three were elected as the top 1% of ESI global engineering disciplines.
