    1.      Research Interest: 

    The Tao lab is focus on the roles of chromatin modifiers in carcinogenesis such as metabolism, immunity, protein post-modification, cell fate and stem cells. Three related research topics are emerged from our more recent work: 1) Using high-throughput profiling techniques to identify candidate predictive biomarkers and potential new therapeutic targets in cancers and Epstein-Barr virus related diseases. 2) Specializes in defining the function of epigenetic modifications and how these modifications are regulated, particularly DNA methylation and histone modifications in human tumorigenesis. 3) Establishing the current models of non-coding RNA (lncRNA and circRNA) regulation of ferroptosis, metastasis, cancer stem cell and therapy resistance.
