Abstract:The causes and characteristics of output voltage nonlinearity of two - stage matrix converter are analyzed.Given its traditional matrix converter and dual PWM converter, similarity in structure and function, the nonlinear characteristics, this paper compares and analyzes showed significant nonlinear of two-stage matrix converter has its uniqueness, such as narrow pulse and voltage drop device, filter capacitor voltage ripple, etc., these problems with the modulation strategy, working mechanism, the topological structure and running state and so on.In order to ensure the reliable operation of the system and compensate the negative effects of nonlinearity, a modified modulation algorithm is proposed, and a nonlinear compensation strategy based on variable carrier modulation is given, which overcomes the inherent defects of the existing algorithms in implementation and improves the quality of the system waveform. In the high modulation coefficient region, the performance improvement is particularly significant, and the operation reliability is correspondingly improved. The experimental results prove the correctness and feasibility of the proposed scheme.
