Dr. Shuying Wang started to work as a faculty at School of Civil Engineering Central South University in March, 2012. He obtained his B.E. and M.S. degrees from Central South University, respectively in 2005 and 2007. He continued his graduate study under the financial support of Chinese Ministry of Education and earned his Ph.D. degree in Missouri University of Science and Technology (Rolla, USA) in 2011. During his Ph.D. study, he was mainly involved in investigating postcyclic behavior of low-plasticity silt. So far, and over ten journal papers just in the field has been published or accepted. In addition, his research interests also include Tunnelling engineering, liquefaction, and experimental investigation of earth materials. Two patents have been authorized by State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C. The courses taught by Dr. Wang include Tunnelling Engineering, Computer-aided Design, and Design of Metro Structure. He serves as secretary-general of the Professional Committee of Construction Management and Youth Workers, Tunnel and Underground Engineering Branch of China Civil Engineering Association. Dr. Wang serves as a reviewer for five International journals.
