Personal Information

I received the Ph.D. degree from the Central South University (CSU), Changsha, China, in 2011. I am currently a Professor and a PhD Supervisor with the School of Automation, CSU.

My current research interests include intelligent learning and optimization and their interdisciplinary applications. :

[1] Evolutionary algorithms for solving different kinds of complex optimization problems, such as single-objective optimization problems, constrained optimization problems, multiobjective optimization problems, nonlinear equation systems, multimodal optimization problems, bilevel optimization problems, and mixed-integer programming.

[2] Advanced maching learning techniques for big data and few shot

[3] Application backgrouds: automotive lightweight design, medical big data, few-shot learning, intelligent robots and systems, mobile edge computing, intelligent scheduling, image processing, etc.

I have been the principle investigator of four NSFC projects. Until now, more than 50 papers have been published in high-quality International Journals, including 34 regular papers published in IEEE Transactions:

[1] 11 papers in IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation (IF=11.554);

[2] 12 papers in IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, Part B: Cybernetics、IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics (IF=11.448);

[3] two papers in IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (IF=10.215);

[4] six papers in IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics: Systems (IF=13.451);

[5] two papers in IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence;

[6] one paper in IEEE Transactions on Cognitive and Developmental Systems (IF=3.379).

Moreover, six papers have been selected as ESI highly cited papers top 1% according to ISI Web of Knowledge. The publications have been cited by more than 3000 times according to Science Citation Index (SCI) and by more than 5800 times according to Google Scholar: http://scholar.google.com.hk/citations?user=SanKtuEAAAAJ&hl=en

I was a keynote speaker in five International Conferences.

I was awarded the Hong Kong Scholar by the Mainland–Hong Kong Joint Postdoctoral Fellows Program, China, in 2013, the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation by Hunan Province, China, in 2013, the New Century Excellent Talents in University by the Ministry of Education, China, in 2013, the 2015 IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Outstanding Ph.D. Dissertation Award, the IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics Outstanding Reviewer, in 2015, the Hunan Provincial Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, in 2016, the 2nd prize of Natural Science Award from Hunan Province, in 2016, the EU Horizon 2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship, in 2016, a Highly Cited Researcher in computer science by Clarivate Analytics, in 2017 and 2018, and the Cheung Kong Young Scholar by the Ministry of Education, China, in 2018.
