Jing Wu, female, MD, CPC member, doctoral supervisor, born in 1967, is the professor of endocrinology, deputy director of internal medicine and diagnosis department, and director of clinical skills training center of Xiangya Hospital, Central South University. Professor Wu is a standing member of Diagnosis Branch of Clinical Medicine Education and Research Association of Higher Medical Education Association of China, a member of Diabetes and Microcirculation Professional Committee of Chinese Microcirculation Society, a member in the Central South District of Clinical Medicine Education and Research Association of Higher Medical Education Association of China, a member of Hunan Endocrinology Society, a corresponding editor of Chinese Journal of Diabetes Mellitus and a visiting scholar to the University of Virginia.Professor Wu’s research focuses on diabetic neuropathy, obesity and insulin resistance, with an over-twenty-year experience in endocrinology. She is the person in charge of one National Science Foundation Program, a participant of another National Science Foundation Program, and the person in charge of 8 provincial-level scientific programs, with more than 50 academic articles published and 14 of them cited by SCI. Due to her academic contribution, she has received the Third Prize of Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award in 2011, the Third Prize of Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Progression Award and the Second Prize of Hunan Medical Science and Technology Award in 2010. Professor Wu is a selected academic leader of 225 High-level Medical Talent Plan in Hunan Province, a core faculty member of Diagnosis, a National Elite Sharing Course. As an outstanding medical teacher, she has been awarded BYD scholarship for excellent teachers, Annual Teaching Contribution Award in Xiangya Hospital, and reputed as Three-Consecutive-Champion Instructor of National Clinical Skills Competition among Medical College Students in Central South University. She is also the chief editor of 2 medical textbooks.
