应阳军亮教授邀请，华威大学Ross Hatton教授于2017年7月15日上午来到中南大学物理与电子学院访问，并做了“Electricity from Sunlight: Enhanced Stability and Efficiency in Tin Perovskite Photovoltaics”的学术报告。本次学术报告会由阳军亮教授主持，物电学院教师、研究生等30余人参加了报告会。
报告中， Ross Hatton教授首先介绍了华威大学和他的实验室。接着，Ross Hatton 教授介绍了团队近期的工作进展，重点介绍了CsSnI3钙钛矿太阳能电池，使用锡代替铅的钙钛矿太阳电池更稳定，无铅钙钛矿太阳电池也更低成本、更安全、更具商业吸引力，相关研究成果发表在Nature Energy等期刊上。Ross Hatton 教授语言风趣幽默，内容精彩充实。在对课题进行介绍后，老师、同学们就稳定性和效率等问题进行了深入的讨论。最后，报告在师生们热烈的掌声中结束，大家纷纷表示在此次讲座中收获颇丰。随后参观实验室，并深入交流，探讨潜在的合作机会。
Dr. Ross Hatton is associate professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of Warwick. He got PhD at the University of Nottingham in 2003 and then worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Surrey. He was promoted to be assistant professor in 2009 and associate professor in 2013 at the University of Warwick. He was awarded EPSRC Research Fellowship in 2007 (approximately ten such fellowships are awarded annually by the Royal Academy of Engineering – Britain’s National Academy for Engineering.) and EPSRC Early Career Research Fellowship in 2015. His research focuses on organic/perovskite solar cells and transparent conductive electrodes. He has published nearly 50 papers in Nature Energy, Energy and Environmental Science, Advanced Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, ACS Nano, Advanced Functional Materials, Materials Horizons, etc.
