Baiyun Zhong ,Professor,Director of medical laboratory, Xiang-Ya School of Medicine, Central South University.
Dr Zhong was born in xinshao(ChangSha,China) on December 24,1970.During the years spent at University, she started to work in the clinical laboratory of the Xiang-Ya Hospital of Central South University. She undertook her degree in Medicine in 1998 and specialized in Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine in 2003. She has spent the first years after she degree (2003–2007) working in research at Xiang-Ya School of Medicine, where she developed some immunochemical methods for assessment of HBV related peripheral blood mononuclear cell. She returned to the Xiang-Ya Hospital at 2007, where she served as an Associate Professor of Clinical Biochemistry. From then on , she performed several studies in the field of digestive system disease,, development and validation of innovative biomarkers of HBV related hepatocellular carcinoma.
She currently serves as Vice director of the Clinical Chemistry of Xiang-Ya Hospital. His main activities also involve teaching and translational research in the field of laboratory medicine. As regards to scientific activity, she has published 26 scientific articles (more than 90% as first, second or last author). She has participated to many national and international congresses and has given presentations to national and international meetings. She served as reviewer for many journals including China Journal of Modern Medicine and China Journal of Endoscopy.
