Chengshang Zhou, PhD, Associate Professor. He join Powder Metallurgy Research Institute in 2017. He was Senior Research Associate/Research Professor at University of Utah during 2021-2024. Prof. Zhou's research experiences involve on powder-based additive manufacturing, hydrogen storage and metal hydrides, powder metallurgy Ti alloys, advance metal powder materials, advanced sintering technologies, tungsten materials. He received Ph.D at University of Utah in 2015 and had a Post-Doctor position at University of Utah during 2015-2016. He received M.S. degree at Central South University in 2009, received B.E. degree at Wuhan University of Technology in 2006.
Prof. Zhou received research funding and participated research projects for NSFC, NSF-Hunan, NSF, DOE, ARPA-E etc. He published over 60 peer-review paper at journals including JACS, ACS Applied Materials&Interfaces, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Journal of Power Source, received citation over 1600. He owns over 30 Chinese patents and 4 PCT/US patents. Dr. Zhou received prestigious academic awards including: Garr Cutler Energy Prize, Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad.

1. Metal hydrides for hydrogen storage and seperation；
2. Additive manufacturing and smart materials；
3. Advanced powder metallurgical materials
