邓旭，中南大学湘雅药学院副教授，博士生导师，入选湖南省杰青、湖南省卫生健康高层次人才等，主要研究方向是基于中药来源活性成分的创新药物研究。 先后主持国家重点研发计划子课题、国家自然科学基金面上项目、科技部高端外国专家引进计划、湖南省重点研发计划等各类纵向项目10余项，以及多项企业横向合作项目。发表SCI论文60余篇，其中以第一作者/通讯作者(含共同)在Nat. Comm., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Cell Death Differ., J. Med. Chem.等高水平期刊发表SCI论文30余篇，总被引1400余次(Google Scholar)，H指数24；申请专利20余项（第一发明人14项），其中12项已获授权;荣获2020年度德国Thieme Chemistry Journals Award国际学术奖和2023年度云南省自然科学二等奖1项。此外，邓旭博士还应邀担任Natural Products & Bioprospecting青年编委,以及Adv. Sci.,Theranostics, J. Med. Chem.等30余种学术期刊审稿人。

        Xu Deng, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the Xiangya School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Central South University. He has been selected as a Hunan Provincial Distinguished Young Scholar, a High-Level Health Talent of  Hunan Province, and a Young Backbone Faculty Member of Hunan Provincial Universities. His primary research focuses on innovative drug discovery based on bioactive constituents derived from traditional Chinese medicine.

      Dr. Deng has led more than ten competitive research projects, including subprojects of the National Key R&D Program of China, the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the High-End Foreign Expert Introduction Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Hunan Key R&D Program, among others. He has also undertaken multiple industry–academia collaborative projects. To date, he has published over 60 SCI-indexed papers, including more than 30 as first or corresponding author (including co-first/co-corresponding) in high-impact journals such as Nature Communications, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Cell Death & Differentiation, and Journal of Medicinal Chemistry. His work has been cited over 1,400 times (Google Scholar) with an H-index of 24. He has filed more than 20 patents (14 as first inventor), 12 of which have been granted. Dr. Deng received the 2020 Thieme Chemistry Journals Award and the 2023 Yunnan Provincial Second Prize in Natural Science.

      He also serves as a Youth Editorial Board Member of Natural Products & Bioprospecting and as a reviewer for more than 30 academic journals, including Advanced Science, Theranostics, and Journal of Medicinal Chemistry.
