Guo Fan, female, master supervisor, Ph.D., associate professor, mainly engaged in research and teaching in image processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and other related fields. In June 2012, she taught in Central South University after graduating with a PhD in computer application technology. From April 2013 to July 2016, she continued her research work at Central South University's Postdoctoral Station in Control Science and Engineering.
In terms of scientific research, she edited one academic monograph as the first author. More than 30 academic papers have been published as the first author or corresponding author including more than 10 SCI papers. As the inventor, she authorized 10 invention patents and 7 software copyrights. She has successively presided over projects such as the National Natural Science Youth Science Fund, the Hunan Provincial Natural Science Fund, the China Postdoctoral Fund, the Hunan Provincial Postdoctoral Research Assistance Plan, and the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Digital Signal and Image Processing Technology Open Project. As a major researcher, she participated in the integration projects of major research programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as many military projects and horizontal projects of enterprises.
In terms of teaching, as a member of the national "artificial intelligence course" teaching team, she has undertaken the "artificial intelligence" course for master students in China for many years, and the teaching effect has been well received by the students. At the same time, combined with her own teaching experience, she published 2 teaching reform theses and approved 1 teaching reform project for foreign students at university level. As a supervisor, guided students won the first prize in the mobile application innovation competition of China university computer competition, the first prize in the “Huawei Cup” Chinese university student intelligent design competition and other competition awards, the first prize in the application development category of Hunan university student computer program design competition, and won the excellent supervisor award of China university computer competition.
Currently, she is a member of CCF, IEEE and ACM, and is a reviewer of internationally renowned journals such as IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, Pattern Analysis and Applications, IET Image Processing, Journal of Modern Optics, etc.
