The Institute of Mold Technologyof in Central South University is engaged in research and development of mold material and molding equipment.Research entity unit contains CAD / CAM technology development, CAE technology study.With Mechanical Engineering and Materials Processing Engineering two key subjects at the national level as research support. Relying on the advantages of traditional subject of South University such as powder metallurgy, materials science, resource processing.Conducted in-depth research in terms of precision molded micro components and controlled manufacturing, modern mold design and manufacture of special materials and new processing equipment design and other manufacturing. In recent years, the Institute has undertaken the National Key Basic Research Program (973 Program), the National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program), the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Education, key projects, Sino-German cooperation project (PPP), foreign young scholars Research Fund, sublimation scholar Professor project and many other research projects.
