Personal Information

Dr. Li built Medical Genetics and Bioinformatics lab in Xiangya Hospital and got more than 3 million RMB as research funds. Dr. Li obtained his Ph.D. degree in Genetics in 2017 at Central South University.
Dr. Li focused on genomic medical research in neuropsychiatric disorders, especially in autism. He developed several bioinformatics tools and databases combining clinical phenotypic data with genetic information, providing methodological supports for understanding the pathogenic variants and candidate genes in complex diseases. Using these tools, Li prioritized several candidate genes, uncovered some molecular subtypes, providing genetic evidence for precision diagnosis and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders, such as autism. In the past 5 years, he authored and corresponding-authored at 43 peer-reviewed publications with 330 plus points cumulative impact factors, including 13 papers published on Science Bulletin, EBioMedicine, Nature Communications, Molecular Psychiatry or Nucleic Acids Research which has a 10+ impact factor value.
