• From 01/09/2001 to 30/06/2004 he was a postgraduate student at the school of Civil Engineering, Central South University, doing research of “A repairing mortar with high temperature resistance performance’
• From 01/09/2005 to 30/06/2001, he was doctoral candidate at the school of Civil Engineering, Central South University, doing the PhD degree research of “Study of the basic mechanisms of sulfate attack on cementitious materials”
• From 23/02/2008 to 23/02/2010, he was doctoral candidate at the Magnel Laboratory for Concrete Research, Department of Structural Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Ghent University, Belgium doing the PhD degree research of “Study of the basic mechanisms of sulfate attack on cementitious materials”
• From 01/11/2011 to 01/09/2015, he is associate professor at the school of Civil Engineering, Central South University.
• Since 01/09/2015, he is professor at the school of Civil Engineering, Central South University
