夏隆巩，副教授，博士研究生导师，中南大学有色金属冶金工学博士、阿尔托大学材料加工科学博士，现任中南大学重（贵）金属冶金与先进材料研究所所长，入选第七届中国科协青年人才托举工程、湖南省首届青年科技人才（荷尖）计划，获第十一届全国高校冶金院长奖、湖南省2023年省普通高等学校课堂思政教学竞赛二等奖。主要从事有色重金属清洁冶炼相关教学科研工作，研究领域包括高温炉渣化学、相图测定、复杂及二次资源利用等，承担国家重点研发计划子课题、自然科学基金青年基金、省重点研发计划课题及企业项目12项。

Mr Longgong XIA, Associate Professor of Central South University, Supervisor of doctoral candidates, Doctoral degree of engineering (nonferrous metal metallurgy) of Central South University, and Doctoral degree of science (material processing) of Aalto University of Finland. Dr. XIA has been promoted as director of the Research Institute of Heavy (Precious) Metal Metallurgy and Advanced Materials. He has been selected in the 7^th Youth Talent Promotion Project of Chinese Association for Science and Technology and the 1^st Youth Science and Technology Talent (Hejian) Project of Hunan Province. He has also been granted the 11^th National University Metallurgy Dean Award and the Second Prize in the 2023 Provincial Ordinary High Education Classroom Ideological and Political Teaching Competition in Hunan Province. He is mainly engaged in the teaching and scientific research work related to the non-ferrous metal smelting, such as slag chemistry, secondary and new resources efficient utilization, and hosts 12 projects, for instance the National Natural Science Foundation youth project, the national key research and development plan sub-project, provincial key research projects and school-enterprise cooperation projects.
