Xie Suchao is a professor and doctoral supervisor with a doctoral degree in engineering. He has been selected for the Hunan Provincial Leading Talent Program for Scientific and Technological Innovation, the Hunan Provincial Excellent Young Scientists Fund, the Hunan Provincial Young Core Teacher Program, the “Shenghua Yuying” Talent Program of Central South University, and the “Innovation-Driven” Talent Program of Central South University. He has also been recognized as one of the World’s Top 2% Scientists. He serves as an Editorial Board Member and Guest Editor-in-Chief of Applied Sciences, an Editorial Board Member of Innovation Discovery, and a Youth Editorial Board Member for journals including Journal of Central South University, Journal of Central South University (Natural Science Edition), and Journal of Railway Science and Engineering. He has long been engaged in research on high-speed railway operation safety, vehicle structural analysis and optimization, and passive occupant safety protection. He has published more than 150 academic papers in well-known domestic and international journals, including 110 papers indexed in SCI, 16 in EI, and 3 in CSCD. He has applied for 57 invention patents, 36 of which have been granted, and has obtained 1 National Computer Software Copyright. He has received one Special Prize of the China Railway Science and Technology Award, one First Prize of the Railway Science and Technology Award, one First Prize of the Hunan Provincial Technological Invention Award, one First Prize of the Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, one Hunan Provincial Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award, two Hunan Provincial Excellent Master’s Thesis Advisor Awards. He has also received more than 20 university-level honors at Central South University, including Young Post Expert, Outstanding Class Advisor, Xinheng Education Outstanding Teacher Award, BYD Outstanding Teacher Award, Outstanding Undergraduate Classroom Teaching Quality Award, Outstanding Teaching Quality Award (Discipline Competition Advisor), and Outstanding Graduation Thesis Advisor Award. He has presided over 30 vertical and horizontal research projects, including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), sub-projects of the National Key Research and Development Program, Hunan Provincial Excellent Young Scientists Project, Hunan Provincial Key Projects, Hunan Provincial Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Special Project, and technology development projects for CRRC (China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation) , with a total research funding exceeding RMB 26 million. He has also participated in over 20 national, provincial, and ministerial research projects, including NSFC Key Projects, NSFC General Projects, National Science and Technology Support Program projects, National Key Research and Development Program projects, key projects of the Ministry of Railways, and key projects of Hunan Province.
