Profile
Hanchu Zhou, Assistant Professor at the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering, Central South University. He holds dual Ph.D. degrees in Transportation Engineering from Central South University and in Data Science from City University of Hong Kong, and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Hong Kong. He has participated in over ten national and provincial/ministerial research projects, including general projects and international (regional) cooperation projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and serves as the principal investigator for a sub-task of a National Key R&D Program. He has published 10 SCI/SSCI papers as first/corresponding author, including one ESI Highly Cited Paper, with a total of 558 citations and a Google H-index of 9. His research interests include traffic big data analysis, transportation system safety, and safety testing of intelligent connected vehicles.
*** Plans to recruit 3 master’s students for the 2026 intake (3 positions already filled). Research topics include semantic analysis of traffic scenes, generation of autonomous driving test scenarios integrating semantic information, etc.
