I grew up in Henan, China, and received my Ph.D. in 2007 from the Central South University. I joined the CSU faculty in 2004, and had co-research experience with Nangyang Technological University (NTU, Singapore), University of Toronto (Canada) and Jiangxi Copper Corporation. My research interests are in hazard prevention of mining and geotechnical engineering. I am the vice dean of the school and currently serve as the committee member of Underground Space Sub-society of Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering (CSRME), commission on Rock Dynamics of International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM).
