陈新，男，中共党员，中南大学资源与安全工程学院，教学科研岗副教授。本硕博就读于中南大学采矿工程专业，并于2019年取得采矿工程工学博士学位，期间赴加拿大蒙特利尔大学工学院开展了为期24个月的博士联合培养。长期致力于充填理论与技术、矿山固废无害化处置、纤维充填材料、绿色充填材料和矿井通风降温等相关领域的研究，主持国家自然科学基金1项，湖南省自然科学基金1项，中央高校博士研究生创新项目1项，校企合作项目10余项，参与国家重点研发计划等项目数项；发表专题论文40余篇：SCI论文20余篇，EI论文5篇，CSCD及中文核心论文数篇；申请国家发明专利20余项，授权发明专利10余项。
