Wei Chen, male, Han nationality, was born in Shaoyang city Hunan province in 1988. He is currently an associate professor of School of Metallurgy and Environment, Central South University. He got his bachelor's degree at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), 2010, and continued to pursue his PhD at USTC during 2010-2016 with majoring in environmental engineering. In 2015-2016 he stayed at Purdue University as a visiting scholar. His research interests focus on molecular spectroscopic analyses of environmental chemical active organic matter and their environmental behaviors. He has got some innovative achievements in the fields of environmental spectroelectrochemistry, environmental spectroscopic chemometrics, membrane fouling and the environment interaction. He has published more than 40 SCI papers as the first/corresponding author in Chem, Environmental Science & Technology, Water Research and other famous journals in the environmental fields, which have been cited more than 1300 times. He applied 16 patents, 8 of which have been issued. He won the outstanding Ph.D. Thesis, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2018. His courses include Environment Monitoring, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Instrument Analysis Method, etc.
