Personal Information

Dr. Mei Fang earned her bachelor's degree in 2006 and then master's degree in 2008 from Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Central South University. Then she went to Sweden and received her Ph.D. on Material Physics and Engineering in 2012 from KTH-Royal Institute of Technology. From 2013 to 2015, she worked with Prof. Jian Shen at Department of Physics, Fudan University as a Postdoc. In January 2016, Dr. Mei Fang joined School of Physics and Electronics at Central South University as an associate research professor.

Dr. Mei Fang’s research interests cover the design and fabrication of new spintronic devices, the functional control of spintronics , and the detection of spin polarization in organics, etc. She built a high vacuum film deposition system, in which multi-layer structured organic spintronic devices can be ‘in-situ’ prepared with designed patterns. Currently her research is supported by ‘Sheng Hua Lie Ying’ plan from Central South University and National Science Foundation for Young Scientists of China (Grant No.11504055). Her research work has been published on international journals like Nature Communications, Nanotechnology, Applied Physics Letters, RSC Advances, etc.. She is also invited as reviewers for journals like RSC Advances, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, etc.
