          1995年本科毕业于中南工业大学材料科学与工程专业。1998年获硕士学位(材料加工力学),2004年获美国亚利桑那州立大学硕士学位(固体电子学),2005年获博士学位(计算材料学)。2000-2005年,先后在美国克莱姆森大学陶瓷与材料工程系、美国亚利桑那州立大学固体科学中心、化学与材料工程系、化学与生物化学系学习和从事助研、助教工作,2005年4月起在美国德尔福汽车公司研究所任材料工程师,2007年1月起在美国加州大学圣芭芭拉分校材料系、化学与机械工程系任博士后学者,2008年9月-10月在英国剑桥大学工程系工作访问,2009年6月起在美国加州大学圣芭芭拉分校材料系任研究副专家。2010年11月受聘为中南大学“升华学者计划”特聘教授。2011年入选教育部新世纪优秀人才。
