Clinical Practice:
Specializes in complex retinal diseases and cataracts. Pioneered multiple novel ophthalmic techniques in Hunan Province, including pediatric fundus fluorescein angiography under general anesthesia and micro-incision vitrectomy surgery (MIVS) for infants. Annual personal outpatient volume exceeds 5,000 visits, with over 800 surgeries performed per year, of which more than 70% are high-difficulty Grade IV procedures. Delivered presentations or invited lectures at the Chinese Ophthalmological Society Annual Congress for 7 consecutive years; delivered plenary speeches and served as a member of the Academic Committee at the Chinese Retinal Society Annual Congress for 9 consecutive years. Selected as the only representative from Hunan Province at the National Zeiss Surgical Film Festival and recipient of the Outstanding Surgical Video Award. Delivered an invited speech at the 2017 Asia-Pacific Vitreoretinal Society (APVRS) Annual Meeting; served as an international faculty member, sub-forum chair, and invited speaker at the 2019 World Ocular Trauma Congress; delivered invited speeches at multiple sessions of the International Pediatric Retinal Disease Summit.
Participated in seven overseas humanitarian "Light Walk" missions in Africa and South America. Served as the head of the medical expert team for the "Light Walk" innovative project under China's foreign aid program for three terms, and received high recognition from host countries and Chinese embassies. Served as an advisory expert for the inspection and preparation of the National Health Commission's Light Walk missions. As the sole invited physician representative, delivered a report at the China-Africa South-South Cooperation High-Level Forum hosted by the Health Policy Research Center of the National Health Commission; delivered a speech as the physician representative at the 45th Anniversary Commemoration of Hunan Province's Foreign Aid Program.
